Purnell House

Whanganui, New Zealand, Sept 2012:  From the little I know, Purnell House was originally the accomodation ward for the nearby Wanganui Highschool. Today I’m not sure of it’s use, though it does seem to be semi occupied and has definately seen better days.

Awatuna

South Taranaki, NZ, Aug 2012: Awatuna Dairy Factory- one of many that dot the Taranaki landscape. Before the advent of the milk tanker and the colossal Fonterra factory near Hawera, Whareroa, these milk factories were the lifeline of Taranaki dairy farmers. Spaced at roughly five miles apart, they allowed local farmers easy delivery of milk […]

W.Sky

Fort Ballance, Wellington NZ, August 2012:  A long exposure/merged image from a few nights ago. The light streak is from a small plane- light pollution and digital noise make up the rest. Haus

Foxton, Horowhenua, NZ, June2012:  An abandoned house I noticed while passing through Foxton. It’s seen better days and looks more suited to a horror film set-  ie. Hitchcocks infamous 1960 film Psycho.

Citadel

Aleppo, Syria, November 2005:  With the escalating conflict in Syria spreading to the country’s largest city, Aleppo, it’s about time I made a post about this ancient city. Also, over the coming weeks and months I will be publishing more images and stories from the Middle East in general, as it continues to fracture and […]

The Clinic part 2

Newtown, Wellington NZ, March 2012: More images from “The Clinic’, now closed like many buildings in Wellington recently, due to being Earthquake Prone. The main building was originally constructed in 1910 as a nurses home for the adjacent infectious disease ward (later the Ewart Hospital). It has modest aesthetic value for its Arts and Crafts […]
